Join the Choctaw Nation Cultural Center here at the library to discuss nineteen Choctaw Soldiers who pioneered the use of Native American languages as a military code. Their exploits took place during the waning days of World War I. The Choctaw Code Talkers' war deeds were forgotten and not spoken of because of military sensitivity until the late 1980s.
