Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure
The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.
This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.
We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!
Mattie Terry Public Library (Valliant)
The Mattie Terry Public Library has been open to the people of Valliant since January of 1998. We are a very small rural town and the community is very close.
We offer many children and teen programs throughout the year and have a big Summer Reading Program in the summer. We also have a meeting room open to the public, along with several adult programs. All programs we offer at the library are free to the public and open to everyone.
We function as the main source of free wireless internet and public computer usage in the community. In addition to providing all SEOLS services, we also offer test proctoring on an appointment basis.
