Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Dig into the world beneath our feet with Backyard Explorers: Sorting Soils! This April, join Miss Kaylee to discover the different types of soil and why they’re so important for plants, animals, and the environment. Through hands-on activities, kids will explore soil textures, learn how to identify various soil types, and uncover the tiny creatures that call the ground home. Participants will also get to check out soil-themed library books to continue their exploration. Get ready to get your hands dirty and become a soil scientist!
