Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Unleash your inner artist with the magic of color and texture in our Tissue Paper Painting program. This hands-on program invites participants of all ages to explore a fun and easy art technique using vibrant tissue paper, water, and imagination.

Participants will  create stunning abstract or scenic art by layering colored tissue paper onto canvas or watercolor paper. With a little water, the dyes from the paper bleed and blend, creating beautiful watercolor-like effects.  No prior art experience is needed—just creativity and a willingness to have fun!
