Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Program Description

Event Details

The Backyard Explorers program by the Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) is an engaging initiative designed to inspire children to explore and learn about the natural world around them.  Naturalist Heath Stanfield, will hopefully inspire young minds to become naturalists in their own backyards.  This session will focus on microscopes and the fascinating details they reveal, making it an excellent opportunity for children and their accompanying adults to delve deeper into the microscopic world.
