Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Have you ever seen color float on water like magic? In this fun and creative experiment, we’ll drop water onto special paper and watch as it holds its shape like tiny beads! Then, we’ll add different colors and see what happens! Will they stay put? Will they mix? Join us to find out!

The Science Twist: Learn about surface tension, absorption, and color diffusion while creating your own colorful masterpiece. It’s art, its science, and it’s totally awesome!

This activity/program is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Grant, and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
