Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Get ready for a bubbling, fizzing, erupting experiment like no other! In this hands-on science adventure, we’ll use water, oil, food coloring, and rock salt to create a mini volcanic eruption—right before your eyes!

But wait—it’s not just magic, it’s science!  Learn how density, solubility, and chemical reactions work as you create your own mini salt-powered volcano!
