Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Program Description

Event Details

Let your imagination run wild as you bring your own "Colorful Character" to life using fabric, buttons, yarn, and other fun scraps! In this hands-on craft program, participants will start with a picture of themselves (we can print it at the library) or an object and use textures, fabric, and other mixed media to create a one-of-a-kind portrait. Whether silly, spooky, or spectacular, your character will be as unique as you!

This activity is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Grant, and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
