Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Explore the science of heat, color, and design as we bring art and STEM together with Perler beads! Choose from a variety of colors to create unique pixel art. Learn about patterns, symmetry, and how heat transforms tiny beads into solid designs. This hands-on program combines creativity with science, making it perfect for budding artists and young engineers alike. Join us to Color Our World—one bead at a time!

This activity is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Grant, and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
