Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Color outside the lines—it’s your day to shine! Join us as we celebrate International Artist Day and recognize that everyone is an artist in their own unique way. Art speaks in every color and every voice, and today we honor the hearts and hands that make the world more beautiful.

In this colorful STEM-meets-art program, participants will explore melting points and color blending as we melt crayon pieces into crayon cookies and use them to create vibrant, one-of-a-kind artwork. Come create, experiment, and celebrate the science and spirit of art!
