Dino Squad: A Traveling Dinosaur Experience
Get ready for a prehistoric adventure at the library! The Dino Squad from the Traveling Dinos Museum is bringing an interactive dinosaur exhibit that lets kids and families explore the world of fossils and paleontology up close.
Visitors will see real dinosaur fossils, examine specimens at a fossil touch table using magnifying glasses, and take a closer look at fossils through a digital microscope. The exhibit features four iconic dinosaur groups—T-Rex, Triceratops, the long-necked Sauropods, and Velociraptor—including a full skeleton of Vela the Velociraptor.
Families can also explore the Dino Activity Center, which includes the Fossil Touch Station, Digital Microscope Station, and a reading area filled with dinosaur-themed books. With hands-on learning and plenty of prehistoric discoveries, this traveling museum experience is perfect for curious kids and dinosaur lovers of all ages.
This activity is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Grant, and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
