The Backyard Explorers program by the Southeast Oklahoma Library System (SEOLS) is an engaging initiative designed to inspire children to explore and learn about the natural world around them.
Use your imagination and build your very own pair of cool glasses – using colorful building blocks! Whether you want to create the wackiest, most colorful glasses or a sleek, stylish design, the choice is all yours.
In this hands-on STEAM program, children will explore the art and science of cyanotypes—sun-powered prints made using light-sensitive paper.
Arts & Crafts
Mix paint and baking soda and dilute with water for a thinner consistency. Guests will then paint paper with a design they choose. When satisfied, they will drip vinegar onto the paper to create a neutralization reaction.
Program for this week the kids will be making a Inertia Zoom Bottle. This is sure to be an exciting program and super fun. This will be a STEM Program.
