CATALOGUE CREATIONS--Teens will be using magazine strips to concoct a cat silhouette on a canvas Also called Catalog Creations.  Julie will be using this for a school program this week will be 4th grade.   Sure to be an hour of fun.

The speaker with the Choctaw Nation will be coming to the library and will offer a session on Child Abuse.  June is National Child Abuse Month.  Come on down to the library and join us. 

We will break/shave old crayons into molds of various shapes. Library staff will melt crayons in molds and place in freezer until solid. Kiddos will then pop out their crayons and use/take them home.

"Mother Goose & Me" is an interactive program for children aged 3 and under. This program nurtures early literacy skills through stories, nursery rhymes, finger-plays, songs, music, movement, and engaging activities.

Mix paint and baking soda and dilute with water for a thinner consistency. Guests will then paint paper with a design they choose. When satisfied, they will drip vinegar onto the paper to create a neutralization reaction.

If you like to crochet, sew, quilt, do needlework and etc. come down to the library for 2 hours of fun and fellowship.   If you don't know how come on down anyway and they can teach you.  

The public library's adult board games program offers a nostalgic and engaging escape. Participants enjoy an array of strategic and classic games, fostering camaraderie and mental stimulation.

Let your child's imagination take shape—literally! In this fun and engaging Paper Sculpture Program, kids will learn to cut, fold, curl, and layer paper to create amazing 3D artworks.

Decorate your very own weaving loom, and then learn to weave!

Come have a blast with us outside at The Coal County Library! We’ll be making colorful art and getting a little messy – in the best way possible!

The public library's adult craft program is a haven for creativity. Participants, guided by skilled instructors, delve into diverse projects, fostering a sense of community and artistic expression.

Lets celebrate summer Reading! We will get a clear jar, create nebula clouds, add glow in the dark paint to make this fun craft. Take home your Galaxy jar and use it as decoration afterwards.

We color every Thursday afternoon.  Come and join us.  We have everything you need to color.  We even furnish a picture.  Come and visit while you color.  Sure to be a fun time at the library.

Timely Traditions is our monthly program that explores practical skills and traditions from the past that remain useful today. 

A program designed just for teens! This week, we will be learning about pixels and how they come together to make images. We will practice making our own images using graph paper and markers!
