Join us for a silly and colorful storytime as Ann reads Rhinos Don’t Eat Pancakes by Anna Kemp in celebration of Purple Day! This fun story is full of imagination and giggles.

Explore nature through art and observation at the library! 🍃 Kids will create leaf rubbings using real leaves, paper, crayons, and wax paper while learning how to identify different trees by their shapes and patterns.

Join us for a journey into the world of stories at our weekly Children's Storytime at the library! Perfect for children aged 4 to 12, this event will spark their imagination and love for reading.

A caterpillar on a leaf butterfly craft is a popular, colorful, and engaging activity for children.

Kids will dig into hands-on STEM fun as they learn how to start seeds and grow their own plants! Participants will explore how seeds sprout, discover what plants need to grow, and plant a vegetable or flower to take home.

Children join the world of imagination and wonder.  Fascinating tales and adventures await you at our story time.

Ready, set, roll! Join us for Marble Run STEM, where creativity meets engineering. Use tubes, ramps, and connectors to build a marble track and discover how gravity and speed work together to keep your marble moving.

Once you are all ready to go, set the bottom of the Easter egg on the ground and fill it with water. Drop in 1-2 Alka-Seltzer tablets and quickly fasten the top half of the Easter egg on top. Step back and watch what happens!

Get creative with paper and your imagination with this paper chicken craft. Children will assemble their own paper chicken using simple materials.

Come and join us at the Creation Station. Each week, children will enjoy different crafts and other activities as well as a snack. Some weeks kids will be doing a STEM Project.

Multi-colored pom-poms are glued in a row (curved or straight) onto a green cardstock leaf, with small pieces of pipe cleaner glued on the front for antennae.

Spring is extra sweet at Krafternoon! Crafters will make their own strawberry-themed creation in this hands-on activity celebrating the season.

Spring is full of bright colors and fresh new beginnings- we will bring those colors to life with a fun bracelet craft! In this activity, kids will create their own Spring Pony Bead Bracelets using colorful beads and string.

Join us for Tales to Tails, a heartwarming reading event in partnership with the Pittsburg County Animal Shelter! Kids of all ages are invited to build confidence and practice reading aloud to friendly, adoptable shelter dogs.

This week’s Crafternoon features a hands-on craft where participants will create grass houses to take home. Designed for ages 6 and up, the program encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and imaginative fun.
