Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

This relief map of the world is inspired by the groundbreaking work of Marie Tharp, the pioneering cartographer and geologist who mapped the ocean floor. Create your own world 3D map using food coloring and shaving cream. This project is a fantastic way to combine art, geography, and science while honoring a trailblazing woman in STEM!

The Crafty Kids Club aims to spark children's imagination, foster creativity, and develop fine motor skills through engaging and fun craft activities.

This activity/program is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) through the Library Services and Technology Grant, and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
