Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Ever wonder how trees and leaves breathe?

Join us for a nature adventure as we head outside to explore the hidden world beneath the leaves! You’ll become a leaf detective and discover tiny invisible holes called stomata that help trees stay alive. We’ll use magnifiers, do fun hands-on activities, and learn how leaves "breathe" just like us—only in their own special way.

Get ready to peek under the leaf and unlock nature’s coolest secrets!
