Upcoming Events

Dowel Rods, ribbon, glue, assorted craft supplies. Children will assemble ribbons to rods and decorate with assorted craft supplies to their liking and then will be able to dance around and express themselves.

The program for this week kids will be making a floating sculpture.  If it sounds like fun that is because it will be.  Come to the library and join others for this steam activity.

STEM Join us for a hands-on STEM adventure at the library! Kids will explore the science behind Magic Moon Dough, a fun and squishy sensory material they can create themselves.

We will be using suspended cups of paint to swing back and forth and create works of art on canvas.  Children will learn about pendulums and how they work.

Softened cream cheese and powdered sugar mixed with jello packets. patrons will choose a flavor of jello to mix and 
assemble the candy base. Place in freezer to harden up. Eat and enjoy!

Get ready for a cool science adventure! In this exciting STEM project, kids will become little scientists as they uncover hidden treasures trapped in ice.

In The Color Lab, teens will explore the science behind colors, experiment with pigments and light, and develop hands-on projects that bring vibrant ideas to life.

We'll explore the mesmerizing world of rheoscopic fluid and watch colors come to life! In this hands-on STEM program, participants will create and explore swirling, shimmering liquids that reveal the hidden movement of water and light.

Explore the hot and cold water density experiment! Learn how water acts differently at different temperatures. Watch how these temperature changes create interesting movements in the water. This experiment is a fun way to understand science!

STEM Get hands on with science and creativity by making your own mesmerizing rheoscopic fluid bottle! Learn how this special liquid reveals fluid motion, then mix colors and glitter to create a swirling, shimmering masterpiece.

Do you have old CDs or vinyl records collecting dust? Bring them back to life in our Digi Lab!

The library has started a Garden Club and you are invited to come on down to the library and learn all about Gardening.  This month you will learn all about how to properly water your garden.  

Patrons will build a double helix DNA strain out of candy and learn about DNA. Teens

Explore a fantastic selection of books and then step outside for some classic outdoor fun. Try your skills with hula hoops, and more!

Paper, paint, and squeegees collide. Kiddos will drop paint onto paper and use a popsicle squeegee to drag the paint down revealing a custom design.

STEM Join us for a hands-on STEM adventure at the library! Kids will design and build their own floating boats using everyday materials, then put them to the test in an exciting boat race. Who will create the fastest, most seaworthy vessel?

Mix paint and baking soda and dilute with water for a thinner consistency. Guests will then paint paper with a design they choose. When satisfied, they will drip vinegar onto the paper to create a neutralization reaction.

Guests will design a template to create their own book cover.

Slime, slime, slime! Join us to create your very own color-changing slime.  Discover the fun behind how and why this fascinating transformation occurs.

During this STEM program, Mrs. Gina will be teaching cloud identification.  Then you will be making a rain cloud in a jar, a tornado in a jar, and finally a cloud made in a jar.
