Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Being a teen comes with a lot of new responsibilities, and we’re here to help! Join us for hands-on sessions where teens can build real-world skills like budgeting, cooking basics, time management, job readiness, and more. These workshops are designed to be fun, interactive, and useful—helping teens gain confidence as they prepare for adulthood.

This week, our Teen Life Skills series takes a practical turn! Teens will learn the essentials of basic wound care—how to clean and bandage minor cuts, scrapes, and burns, and when it’s time to seek medical help. It’s a hands-on, confidence-building workshop that prepares teens for real-life situations.
