Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Storytime

Get ready to mix, swirl, and bounce your way into science fun! Join us for an exciting hands-on STEM program where kids will create their own glowing bouncy balls using simple ingredients like glue, borax, cornstarch, and warm water.

As we stir up some colorful creations, we’ll explore the science of polymers—how materials change when combined and how molecules link together to form something totally new (and super bouncy)!

Each child will take home their own Swirly Science Sphere—a glowing, bouncing reminder of the power of chemistry and curiosity!
