Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Join us for Tales to Tails, a heartwarming reading event in partnership with the Pittsburg County Animal Shelter! Kids of all ages are invited to build confidence and practice reading aloud to friendly, adoptable shelter dogs. This paws-itively fun program helps young readers improve literacy skills in a safe, nonjudgmental environment—while giving our furry friends some extra love and attention. Come share a story and maybe meet your new best friend! 🐾📚
