Notice: Spiro Public Library Temporary Closure

The Spiro Public Library will be closed from Thursday, September 4th through Monday, September 15th as we prepare for exciting updates.

This week, we’ll be moving books and disassembling the old shelving. The library will also be getting a fresh coat of paint while the walls are empty. The new shelving is scheduled to arrive on Thursday, September 11th, and once the books are back in place, we’ll be ready to welcome you again the following week.

We appreciate your patience during this transformation and can’t wait for you to enjoy the refreshed, beautifully organized library!

Program Description

Event Details

A crochet program is a hands-on, creative workshop where participants can learn the art of crochet or improve their skills in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced crocheter, the program offers something for everyone. Participants will be guided through various techniques, from basic stitches like chains and single crochets to more advanced patterns and projects.

The program often includes group projects, where everyone works together on a larger piece, or individual projects like scarves, hats, or small decorative items. Supplies are usually provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own yarn and hooks. Alongside learning, the program fosters a sense of community as participants share tips, ideas, and encouragement. It’s a perfect opportunity to relax, unwind, and create something beautiful, one stitch at a time.
